Easy Paper Pieced Die Cuts + Embossed Background

I’m always a big fan of a product that you can stretch into multiple uses. The new Dancing Meadows die from Simon Says Stamp is one of those gorgeous cover plate dies that can be paper pieced back together—or the individual pieces can stand alone as their own element. This gives you, the maker, a chance to get double-duty out of a single die!

In this project, I’m using the pieces from the Dancing Meadows die to make a beautiful layout, which features an embossed backdrop to enhance the finished look. This die is from Simon Says Stamp’s new Shine On collection.

The dramatic backdrop of the Rainforest cardstock really sets off the colors of the ink blended die cuts. For added interest, I embossed the paper with Simon Says Stamp’s new Dotty Contour embossing folder. The texture is just beautiful. I added gems and embellishments for that extra pizzaz and dimension on my card.
