Hello everyone! I am excited to be back sharing a new tutorial with you, featuring an under-painting technique using mostly products from Memory Box. This technique is one I have enjoyed playing with on and off camera, and I couldn’t wait to do it again!

I started the technique by creating ink smooshed Distress Ink backgrounds. I often make lots of these when I am relaxing in my studio during the evenings and then save them for projects like this. On each of these backgrounds I white heat embossed a heart from Memory Box’s Wirework Hearts and Prima’s  floral Christine Adolf #10 stamp sets.

On all of these cards I used sentiments from Memory Box; Wirework Hearts, Just Because stamp and die set, as well as the Love and Miss You stamp and die set.

To watercolor the painting over the inked backgrounds, I used both Zig Clean Color markers on the hearts, and Prima Watercolor Confections on the flowers. In each of the cards are some accents of gold or white gold shimmer, which I created with Finetec paints. In some cases I splattered on the shimmer, or I filled in parts of the image with the watercolors.
