Happy Saturday crafters! Today of course is July 8th and I thought it would be fun to revisit a post I shared back on July 8th of 2016 which featured a fun watercolor technique using Distress Inks.

This post is the first in my new series Saturday Spotlight. Every so often on Saturday I will feature a card I had posted on the exact same day in a previous year. I think it is important to revisit techniques and inspiration from the past; it sparks new creativity and let’s us give some of our “older” products a bit more love!

This card also featured some of Neat & Tangled’s cute stamps and dies, including their Mermazing stamp and die set, the Making Waves die and the Itty Bitty Welcoming Committee stamp set.

One of my favorite things about Distress Inks is their unique reaction to water; you can see how the water has a lot of great texture to it. This was created with the Distress Inks. I also really love how the Making Waves die creates the perfect little ocean scene very quickly and easily!
