Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #314

Hello Everyone, and Happy Sunday!

Today I am taking part in the Cupcake Inspirations challenge #314 as a Surprise Sweetie, and this week’s challenge is a real fun one that features a gorgeous color scheme. See for yourself!

I love these beautiful colors, don’t you? Upon seeing the inspiration photo, I knew I wanted to create a fun birthday card and the Bunch of Balloons stamp from Wild Rose Studio was a perfect fit for the card I had in mind.

I stamped the elephant onto some cardstock, along with a party hat from the WPlus9 Unforgettable set, using Memento Ink; I then colored the images using my Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

On a 4″ by 5 1/4″ cardstock panel, I stamped the elephant once again, as well as some grass,  and a sentiment from the Unforgettable stamp set, using Memento ink (the sentiment was heat embossed after stamping). The balloons and grass were colored with Copic markers, and I inked the sky using Tim Holtz Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon distress ink. I then stamped some star confetti from the Unforgettable stamp set and attached the fussy cut images onto the panel.

I scored a border around the panel and attached some clouds with foam tape, which I had die cut from the Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die set.

To finish off  my card, I added Wink of Stella glitter to the balloons, party hat and stars, and applied some Glossy Accents overtop the balloons and hat to add a bit of shine.
