Sophisticated Congratulations

Sophisticated Congratulations_3

Hello! I am back to share a clean and simple, one layer wedding card with a sophisticated style to it.

The rose is stamped onto my white card base using the Altenew “Vintage Roses” stamp set, which I am absolutely loving right now! :)  I used a variation of my contrast stamping technique as I did in this previous post, but this time using shades of dark pink, red and black to achieve the final look.  I then created a mask for my rose and then stamped the leaves using the same method; a light green, a darker green and then black.

Once my stamping was complete, I scored a double frame around my card base using scoring board and a stylus. I then took my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush and applied glitter to the rose, portions of the leaves and also to the scored frame. Finally, I stamped the sentiment  ‘Congratulations’ using the Hero Arts “Everyday Sayings” stamp set.

I really love how bold the high contrast stamping looks against the colors of the rose… with the red, it gives the card a sophisticated, elegant look. If you would like to learn more about this technique, be sure to stop over to this other post here on my blog: Contrast Stamping

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
