Coloring on Glitter Cardstock + Simon’s Altenew STAMPtember Exclusive
Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m back again today with a new video to share with you featuring the Altenew exclusive for Simon Says STAMPtember, Fabulous You!
I really love Altenew’s stamps and dies; I’ve worked with their products quite a bit (click here to see all my videos and posts featuring Altenew products). Because I love their products so much, I was thrilled that they would be creating a collaboration exclusive for STAMPtember (click here to see all my STAMPtember videos and posts).
Note that this stamp set is a STAMPtember limited edition exclusive. Once the set sells out, it won’t be restocked. If you like the set, I would encourage you to pick it up as soon as possible to ensure you get one!
I thought it would be fun to try something new with the Fabulous You set by stamping the images and coloring them on our new Simon White Glitter cardstock! The result is a gorgeous, velvet-like feel and look to the stamped images. Take a look:
I used both Altenew Artists Markers and Copic markers to color in my images. When you color onto the glitter cardstock, you want to work in a dabbing motion. This way you won’t risk ruining your markers by coloring onto the rough, gritty texture of the cardstock.
The colors I used were: R302, R304, R318, Y11, Y35 (flowers), G702, G715, G554 (dark green leaves), G12, G24, G43 (light green leaves), BG45, BG18, BG09 (teal leaves), G000, G00, YG41 (background).
Note: All triple-digit markers are from Altenew; double-digit markers are Copics.
I hope you will check out the video below to see the coloring-on-glitter technique in action! And stay tuned for another video coming up tomorrow featuring a new STAMPtember exclusive!
