Window Scenes 3 Ways + Sugar Pea Stamptember Exclusive
Note: If you love this stamp set, I encourage you to get it soon. All STAMPtember exclusive collaboration sets like this one are limited edition. Once they sell out, they won’t be restocked.
I had the pleasure of getting to meet Wendy Ramlakhan (the creator behind these adorable stamps!) earlier this – such a wonderful, sweet woman! And this set has quickly stolen my heart… so much so that I created three cards with it! Each card is different from one another but all feature a window scene design.
All the koalas are stamped with Simon’s Intense Black ink and colored with Copic markers. On all the koalas I used the following marker colors:
- T0, T1, T2, T4, T6 for their fur
- R000, R11 for the rosy cheeks
I have the video below and then further down are additional details about the cards!

KOALAS IN A TREE
These two koalas are so cute sitting in their little tree; as my youngest sister tells me, this is “mama and baby!”
Inside my heart window I created a sunny-sky backdrop using Neat & Tangled’s Stitched Sunburst die and Lawn Fawn’s Puffy Cloud border dies. I used colored cardstocks from Simon and Lawn Fawn to do the die cutting (colors used: Sticky Note, Sunshine, Surf Blue).
The Copic markers I used to color in the tree were: E30, E31, E33, E37, YG13, G03, G05. The butterfly was colored with Y11 and Y15.
The little yellow hearts are Rainbow Sprinkle stickers from Doodlebug and I added two of the yellow ones around my scene to tie in additional yellow. I also stamped a background into my card base using our new Simon Grid Play cling stamp. To add interest to the grid, I ended up deciding to take a Copic and color in every other square.
KOALA WITH BALLOONS
The second card I made features the sweet koala with the heart balloon… his heart balloon made me think of the balloons in the Simon Says Stamp Cuddly Critters Accessories set. And since I wanted to put these koalas into scenes, I thought those would be perfect to pair together. I ended up with a rainbow of balloons cascading out of the heart window behind the koala! Talk about a happy birthday!
I colored the balloons with the following colors: RV10, RV21, RV23 (pink), R24, R27, R46 (red), YR04, YR07, YR18 (orange), Y11, Y15, Y19 (yellow), YG03, YG06, YG07 (green), B00 B02, B04 (blue)BG32, BG13, BG45 (teal).
NIGHT SKY KOALAS
I was pleased with how all of the cards turned out but I think this one is my favorite! I adore the cuddling koalas, where all you see are their backs facing you. This image immediately made me imagine a night sky with the koalas looking at it.
I had gotten the Lawn Fawn Starry Skies die not too long ago and hadn’t yet gotten to use it on a card, but it fit SO perfectly on this card (and inside my heart window!). I die cut the Starry Skies die into navy cardstock and intended on layering it over some of Simon’s new white glitter cardstock… however, I decided that I wanted the stars to be yellow. And with a couple of yellow Copics, I was able to color the glitter paper! LOVE how it turned out:
The moon is also die cut with some of Simon’s new glitter paper; this time I used the silver color and a Shine On moon die (also from Simon).
My card base is made with the same navy cardstock and I stamped a star background onto it with the Shine On stamp set and embossing ink. I didn’t heat set the images with powder, but rather just used the ink itself to create a tone-0n-tone effect.
For the sentiment, I white heat embossed on of the greetings from Koalaty Time onto black cardstock and added a small, red die cut heart.
