I’m so glad you’ve stopped by today for this little thank you card I created using some stamps from the Newton’s Nook!
Thank you cards are like birthday cards… you can never have too many around! :) I love fun, unexpected images, and the cheese wedge in the “Just Say Cheese” stamp set from Newton’s Nook, seemed like a perfect fit for what I had in mind…
I had played around with a pink, yellow and black color combo a couple days ago on this panda fairy birthday card, and really liked the results, so I thought I’d use that same color scheme on this card as well.
I began by stamping my cheese wedge onto some pink and yellow patterned papers, fussy cutting the images out and adhering the pink heart to my yellow (polka dot patterned!) cheese… who says cheese can’t be polka dotted!?! :)
The cheese is attached to my main cardstock panel with foam tape; under the cheese I sketched a bit of “ground” for it to sit on using a black pen, and stamped my sentiment using stamps from the “Just Say Cheese” stamp set. The inks I used were Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink and StazOn Jet Black ink.
My card base is created with some white cardstock (a top folding, A2 card size), and is inked with some Black Soot distress ink and a polka dot stencil from Heidi Swapp. I layered my main panel onto some black and pink cardstocks, and adhered them all to my card base with foam tape.
A very quick and easy card, but with the fun colors and cheese image, this card packs quite the punch! I hope you’ve enjoyed and thanks again for popping in today!
Happy Creating! :)
