Ink Smooshing and Die Cutting + Tim Holtz’s New Saltwater Taffy Color!
I am absolutely loving the new Saltwater Taffy Distress color from Tim Holtz and couldn’t wait to use it again. This time around I used it with yellow Distress colors and did a bit of ink smooshing! The day that I made this card, I was having a tough day creating; I decided to switch gears on what I was doing and instead of continuing to struggle, I went to one of my most favorite techniques (ink smooshing) and made this card!
For the yellow colors on this card I paired Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and of course the new Saltwater Taffy! The greens are a mix of Salvaged Patina, Bundled Sage, Pine Needles, and Peeled Paint.
The beautiful flower that takes center stage on the card is Simon Says Stamp’s Etched Layered Daisy die. I also die cut the leaves from Vine Background die. I added a sentiment strip onto the card from Simon’s All the Thanks pack; the sentiment is actually embellished with a clear glitter embossing powder for a gorgeous, shimmery effect!
