I created a card using the beautiful Center Cut Flowers stamp set and colored pencil on dark cardstock technique! Colored pencils look amazing when they are added onto dark cardstocks, as it lets the pigment bounce off the paper! The cardstock I used was a Blue Violet color from Simon, and I selected random Prismacolor pencils from my stash to do the coloring.

The sentiments I included in my card are from a couple of other new sets from Simon! I love the simple Bold Mom die set; it comes with both the word “mom” itself, plus the outline! This makes popping up the greeting off your card SO much easier!
And that cute little “love you” sentiment is from the fabulous Love You Mama stamp set. I have made quite a few cards with the Love You Mama set, which I will be sharing tomorrow in the Fluttering By release blog hop (stay tuned for that)!

The Center Cut Flower stamp also looks amazing colored with watercolors! Here is a peek at a work-in-progress project I am working on currently using this set; I hope to share the card I make with it over the next week or so! The watercolors I am using in this piece are Daniel Smith colors.

First up I have a clean and simple card using the pretty Twinkle Flower die, which I cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I layered the panel onto another piece that I cut with the Frond Collage die (a previous release from Simon); the Frond Collage layer was created just like the Twinkle Flowers.
Behind those window panels I have a sunset background that I made by smearing acrylic paints on watercolor paper. I really like how it provides some texture!
That fun “birthday” word die I cut with the new Happy Birthday Script die set and I paired it with a stamped sentiment from Simon’s Easter Greetings stamp set.
For a bit of embellishing, I sprinkled a few of the new Peony Bouquet sequins around the florals and leaves, which I think complements the scene perfectly!

My last card to share with you today features another new center-cut background stamp from Simon; the Center Cut Star. I stamped the background onto watercolor paper and colored it in with Zig Markers. There is a scallop edging in part of the design, which I used as a guide to trim down the star. Then I layered that star onto a Whirlypop blue card base that also has the Center Cut Star stamped onto it (I used embossing ink to create a tone on tone effect).
Within the center of the star background, I also included a few greetings from the new Yes You Can stamp set.
There are tons of pretty butterfly dies in the Fluttering By release, and I used one of them to embellish my card; the Flickering Butterflies. I also sprinkled a few of those Peony Bouquet sequins in between the butterflies too. I love how the look like they are flying up the card!

O my!! You’ve made some spectacular cards with products from this incredible release. I love love love those first 2 cards. Your coloured floral image is beautifully done and just pops on the dark cardstock. The layered circle frame cuts look so good together. Fabulous idea!! And that bakground is gorgeous !! The twinkle flower circle die is a favourite of mine from this release

Gorgeous creations! There are so many cool things in this release but my favorite is the set of dies for the Beautiful Day stamp set. I can’t fussy cut anything and now I can use my new stamps!
I love all of the Center cut backgrounds, esp. this one and I love how it looks with the different mediums you’ve used. The Twinkle Flower die is another one of my many faves from this release and you did a beautiful job on this as well. You have also done a great job on the card with the Center cut star and the Zigs. So pretty.
