Embossing Folders and Ink Blending on Colored Cardstock + Simon Says Stamp’s New Release

The blackout technique is one of my favorite ways to use embossing folders! I decided to use colored cardstock as my base for the effect this time—a little ink blending in the center of the pansies help add the right amount of detail to the background! The embossing folder I’m using today is new from Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Moments collectionPansy Petals.

I added a die cut greeting to the card using the Beautiful Friend dies and the coordinating Beautiful Friend EZ Strips. The foiling on my EZ Strip adds a gorgeous shine to the sentiment and pairs perfectly with the Rainbow Splash Drops I added to the card for embellishment.
