Pocket Tag on a Card! New Dies for Tim Holtz Stamps from Simon Says Stamp

Collaging is such a fun way to combine elements in a beautiful and eclectic way. I was inspired by the new Simon Says Stamp Field Notes dies that match with the coordinating stamp set from Tim Holtz to create a layered collage tag. The collage tucks into a pocket that I built into the tag. It allows you to remove the items and enjoy the beauty that these stamps hold! I also want this project to inspire you to use tags as a focal point for your card!

This post is also part of the Simon Says Stamp blog hop celebrating the release of their new coordinating dies that match Tim Holtz stamps!

The base of this project is a tag. It holds all the elements and makes for a beautiful focal point on a card. But I did make this project twice—not just as a card, but also as a stand-alone tag (keep scrolling for those pictures). I hope this shows you how you can be inspired by tags, not just to be used as such, but to also use them as your masterpiece on a card.

You can see that the tag is very similar to the card—I used the same overall design and the only real difference is that the floral cluster from the Organic Layers pack is swapped for dogwood blossoms instead of zinnias.

  8. So lovely Nina. I enjoy watching your videos stepping through your process too. Love both the card and tag. Really lovely way to showcase the Field Notes Stamps and Dies. The choices with the dies are amazing too, I believe you’re an integral part of the die creation process and I’m loving your approach to the stamps! The earlier sets with the options of layering sections or opening doors and windows etc, so clever and I love the edges on these field notes, lovely attention to those details! xoxo
