2 Inky Techniques with Snowflakes!

I am so excited to be sharing the two cards I made with one of Simon Says Stamp’s new Sweet Wishes stamp and die sets called Heartfelt Snowflakes. The reason I am so thrilled to share some projects with this set is because my mom illustrated it!

My mama is an illustrator like myself and she beautifully created these elegant snowflakes that are SO much fun to stamp! I’m using two different inky techniques in this video to create very different cards.

This colorful shaker uses Distress Ink smooshing to create that vibrant, textured background. I love the variation of colors the different shades of inks created when they layered.

This soft, elegant card uses some simple stamping in multiple shades to create this background featuring a mix of snowflakes—I made sure to vary the sizes of the snowflakes to give the card interest and depth.
