Watercolor Stamping: A Technique Anyone Can Do!
This project first appeared on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
I’ve always enjoyed watercoloring, but we all know how hard this gorgeous medium can be to control! What if I told you that you can create the look of watercoloring without having to actually do it? With watercolor stamping, you can do exactly that!
Speaking of stamps, I am using the new Gina K. Designs Be the Rainbow stamp set in today’s card. The solid rainbows are perfect for this technique – and SO CUTE!
The watercolor stamping technique is one of my favorites to teach, because no matter your comfort-level with watercoloring, you can do this to! You do not need any experience with watercolor to create this effect because we’re letting the stamps do all the work for us. How cool is that?? All you need are a water-based coloring medium (I’m using Zig Real Brush Markers), watercolor paper and a stamp set.
I’m curious to hear what you think of this technique! Does it make watercoloring more approachable, easier or more fun? Tell me your thoughts in the comments below!
