Watercolor Scene with Simon’s Lawn Fawn STAMPtember® Exclusive
Hello everyone! With the holidays coming up so fast, it’s only fitting that the first exclusive collaboration set for Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember® celebration would be winter/Christmas themed! This darling stamp and die set is created by no other than, Lawn Fawn!
The Nutty or Nice set is filled with sweet mice that can be used on their own, or put together to build a fun snowman! There are also tons of great supporting images, and a variety of sentiments too.
From the stamp set I used three of the mice, the snowmen and the tree branch to create a colorful, snowy scene! These images are stamped on Strathmore watercolor paper and colored in with Prima Watercolor Confections and Daniel Smith watercolors.
On a simple, blue watercolor background, I stamped the tree branches and painted in colorful pine needles. Once that dried, I used acrylic paint to add splatters of white “snow” all over the panel.
On my scene I also included larger snowflakes, which are cut with the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes die set. The greeting is from the STAMPtember® Exclusive, Nutty or Nice set, which I white heat embossed onto a curved banner die.
Layered behind my scene is a Schoolhouse Red cardstock panel that has a bit of cute eyelet edging cut around it, using Lawn Fawn’s Valentine Borders die set. The white, woodgrain card base was also cut with a Lawn Fawn die, the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop.
I really love that the images in this set are perfectly designed to be used together to make a fun scene. The squirrels are each standing in unique positions too, which makes your scene come to life!
There is a wide range of sentiments in the set which allows you to stretch the set, even beyond the holidays. I love being able to get the most possible out of a stamp and/or die set!
I hope the watercolor scene that I created has inspired you to make something feative with the new Nutty or Nice Lawn Fawn exclusive from Simon Says Stamp! Thank you SO much for stopping by and visiting with me today; I will be back again soon with more inspiration to share!

Adorable card Nina. The pine needles you painted on the branch looks amazing coming in from the sides. It really adds a lot to your scene. Well done.
Love your card. Your water coloring is beautiful.
This is so lovely! I hope there’s a video of how you did this. I would love to watch it.
Super sweet card! Adorable stamp set!
