Simon’s Choose Joy March 2018 Card Kit: Inspiration + See Inside!

Hello crafters! I am thrilled to be sharing the newest card kit from Simon Says Stamp with you today called, Choose Joy! This Spring-filled kit is sure to get you craving those April showers and May flowers! :)

Additionally, I am also thrilled to be sharing that I have a NEW stamp design that I created especially for the kit. Let me introduce to you the Showers and Flowers stamp set:

I had a blast designing this stamp set and have colored all the images already! :) I’ll be sharing more cards using this set very soon, so stay tuned!

Let’s take a look at the card I made using the pair of golashes and florals. I used Zig watercolor markers to color in the image; nothing super-detailed. Each area of the image is colored with a single shade of marker.

The gorgeous patterned paper from Carta Bella’s Spring Market collection are so pretty and I thought it would be fun to put the image I colored into a “scene”. There is a paper sheet with cute pails of flowers and a classy black and white awning that worked perfect for that!

Another fun feature in the kit is the Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer pen, which I added onto the boots and flowers. I love sparkle, and this pen gives THE PERFECT clear shimmer. If you watch the kit walkthrough video I put together (linked HERE or down at the end of this post), I’ll demonstrate this pen for you to see what I mean! :)

Some of Simon’s gorgeous envelopes are included in the kit as well, which I used along with the Choose Joy stamp set to make a coordinating envelope for this card! I love how the shimmer of the envelope along with the plaid goes so well with the features of my card! Be sure to watch the video on how I made this card (located at the top of this post)!

You can find the March 2018 card kit HERE; plus check out the Simon Card Kit galleries HERE to see further inspiration on using this STUNNING card kit!

Thanks for visiting with me today; I will be back with more tutorials for you VERY soon!

Nina-Marie, you have me raring to go! I have had three major surgeries in the past nine months…housebound and feeling blah. My (she says the favorite) daughter has sent me this kit. YEAH I can not wait to bring the bunny, duckling and flowers to life. My husband has moved my crafting stuffs to the kitchen and I am ready to dive in. To top this get-up-and-create adventure, the daughter is coming for a visit . Car packed with her stuffs from MA to my WI kitchen. We crafters are certainly blessed.
