Newton’s Nook Reveal Day #2
Hello everyone! Welcome back to day two of the Newton’s Nook April release! Today is the reveal of the new Sampler Tags stamp set, which not only coordinates with the Tags Two die set, but also is a perfect stamp set to combine with the Newton Unwinds set… and that’s what I’ve done for this card!
I love the fun little stamps in the new Sampler Tag set; the sentiments are so much fun and there are a lot of cute little images that are great accent pieces to a card. The stitch stamps are really unique and I used them both to create a subtle background pattern on my card (Frosty Pink ink from Altenew stamped onto Cotton Candy cardstock from Simon Says Stamp). I also used the sweet heart yarn ball to pair with one of the cats from Newton Unwinds; these images are colored with Copics and I’ve broken down the colors for you below:
- cat: E0000, E51, E30 (body), E31, E33, E35, E57 (stripes), RV00, R32 (pink blush and ears)
- pink yarn ball:RV00, RV02, RV04
- purple yarn ball: V20, V22, V25, V28
- ground: C1, C3
After coloring the images, I cut them out; dies for the images from Newton Unwinds and scissors for everything else. I adhered them all onto a circle I die cut using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles die set and stamped a sentiment using black and light purple inks.
To finish things off, I added a hemp bow along the bottom and tied a pink button from the 28 Lilac Lane’s Pretty Princess embellishment bottle.

Love, love, LOVE that you put Newton in here, because that’s exactly what cats seem to look at us and say right after they make a mess! Too funny!!
