Layered Florals with Pretty Pink Posh

Well hello everyone! I’m so happy you are stopping by today, as I have a card to share with you today featuring some sunny flowers to help warm you up on this wintry day.

When I first started creating this card, the result was not how I originally intended it to be. However, I love it so much more than my previous idea, and this is one of my favorite parts of creating… seeing how an idea works itself into something you did not even imagine!

The floral images are from a few Winnie and Walter stamp sets; Anna’s Flora and Addie’s Garden. I stamped them using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

I wanted to maintain a strong, white highlight on the coloring of these floral images and was careful to keep a light hand when adding in my darker shades to the images. I fussy cut each image out and then went to work on the rest of the card.

For the watercolored frame, I took some Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw distress inks and painted an background before die cutting it twice from Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Pretty Pink Posh Scalloped Rectangles dies.

My sentiment is from the Pretty Pink Posh Rainy Days stamp set and I white heat embossed it onto some black cardstock. I layered the scalloped rectangle onto my card base with foam tape and clustered all my florals together in the top center of the frames.

To finish things off, I added Wink of Stella glitter to the flower and leaves and Glossy Accents to the center of the sunflower. A few Sparkling Clear sequins were also scattered about to add a bit more sparkle and shine.
