Thanks for Your Friendship

Thanks for Your Friendship_2

Hello! Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing a friendship card that I created for a very sweet friend of mine, Ellen Haxelmans. She is a very talented card maker and paper crafter, so be sure to stop over at her blog and see what she’s up to!

I started off by stamping the little mice from the Penny Black Inc. Hugs stamp set onto some white cardstock using Memento ink. I colored the images with my Copic markers, and then fussy cut them out.

Inside my Silhouette Studio (Designer Edition), I created a sloped shape using the polygon tool, duplicated it. On one of the polygons, I welded the word “thanks” onto it, as in the picture below.

With my panels created, I then cut them from white cardstock (three times each), using my Silhouette Cameo and layered them together to create a thicker set of panels. On the “thanks” panel, I added some dot details using my Copic markers, to create grass.

I layered some patterned paper onto my card base (this card is sized at 3 1/2″ by 5 1/2″), and attached my two panels to the top and bottom edges. I then die cut and layered a bunch of clouds from the Lawn Fawn Spring Showers die set around the card, tied on my pale pink bakers twine, and attached the little mice to the “thanks” panel.

Finally, for some finishing touches, I added some little punched hearts and white pearls to the card, applied Wink of Stella glitter to parts of the card, and also some Glossy Accents on the letters of the word “thanks”.

I really love how this turned out and I hope you enjoyed too! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

PS… if you missed it, be sure to check out my post that is part of the Lia Stampz May blog hop! The release for this month is Flowers, and there is a special prize for a lucky commenter! You have until June 2nd to join in on the hop!
