Sending Prayers & Love

Sending Prayers & Love_2

Happy Monday!

I am back to share a card I’ve created with my absolute favorite sheet of patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye On Trend collection. I just recently got the 6×6 collection of the doubled sided patterned papers, and I love this floral pattern included in the set. So pretty!!!

The soft delicate feel of the paper made me think of a sympathy or encouragement style card, so I paired it up with the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts stamp set to create the design.

I started off by creating the base of the card and also a 1/4″ frame from some white cardstock. I attached a piece of acetate to the back of the frame, and adhered it to my patterned paper, like you would for building a shaker card, except I did not fill it with any shaker material.

I then cut another frame from white cardstock, this time with a scallop edge  around the outside, and adhered my vellum panel behind it. Before adhering the frame and vellum together however, I had stamped the sentiment “sending prayers & love” with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with the Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder (the stamps were from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts set).

For embellishment, I tied a teal ribbon around the card base, added some enamel hearts and pearls  to the vellum panel, and applied Wink of Stella glitter to the two white frames.

I love how dainty and spring-like this card turned out! I also love the look of gold embossing on vellum… it looks so elegant. I hope you’ve enjoyed, and I am so very happy you stopped by
