A Birthday Cupcake
Happy Saturday!
I am a huge fan of critter stamps… something about them is just so sweet! For my card today, I’ve used a hedgehog stamp from the Penny Black Inc. “Sweet & Cute” stamp set.
I totally adore how he’s carrying the huge cupcake (that’s as big as him no less!) and that the icing is falling off onto the ground… so cute!
I stamped the hedgehog and a sentiment from the “Party Time” set, also by Penny Black, with some StazOn ink, and watercolored the little hedgie with some Derwent watercolor pencils.
With a black multiliner and a white paint pen, I added some additional shading and highlight details to parts of my image. I also took some Wink of Stella glitter and added it to the icing, the cupcake wrapper and the candle flame. On the candle flame a coating of Glossy Accents was also applied.
I scored a frame around the panel wiht my scoring board, and then layered it onto some Audrey Blue cardstock before mounting it to my card base. To finish my card off, I applied Wink of Stella glitter to the Audrey Blue cardstock frame, and tied a pink ribbon into a little bow.
I am so happy you took the time to stop by! I hope you have a blessed and happy Easter!
