Live, Laugh, Love
Hello everyone, thanks so much for stopping by today!
I love typography… something about it is just so fascinating and fun. Today I have a card to share featuring a large word cut file I created. I have the file available as a free download at the bottom of this post if you are interested.
To create this card, I cut out the words twice using my Silhouette Cameo; once from some green glitter paper, and a second time from some black cardstock. I layered the black piece behind the glitter paper, slightly offset, to create a shadow effect.
My card base is created from some heavy cardstock that I masked off with 1/4″ masking tape and inked with Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink. The stripes were then covered with some Wink of Stella glitter to add some shimmer.
I adhered my die cut words to a white cardstock panel and then layered the panel onto some black cardstock, cut slightly larger then the white panel. Both panels are adhered to my card base with foam tape, and some white faux stitching was added around the edges of the white panel.
A very clean and simple card, but it has a big impact with the large die cut words and glittery paper.
I hope you’ve enjoyed and thanks again for stopping by! Happy Creating!
