Totally Love You

Hello! I’m back to share with you a fun, feminine-styled card that is completely covered in sparkle and shine! :)

The inspiration for my card came from the Cupcake Inspirations 300th celebration “More Confetti” challenge… I loved the colors on the cupcake, and also pulled some inspiration from the sprinkles to create some ink splatters behind my large sentiment.

I began by cutting a panel from some watercolor paper and taking some Heidi Swapp color shines, I began flicking on a few splatters of each spray. The colors I used were Primrose, Mint and Gold. I dried them most of the way with my heat gun and then dabbed the rest of the ink off with a dry cloth.

Taking the stamp from the Heidi Swapp “Love You” stamp and stencil set, I heat embossed it into the center of the panel with some gold tinsel embossing powder. I love the gold tinsel embossing powder from Ranger… it has such a beautiful sparkle to it and really catches your eye.

I covered a piece of white cardstock with some Wink of Stella gold glitter, and layered this behind my watercolor panel. Then, taking a piece of Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy cardstock, I cut it down to an A2 sized card before laying a polka dot stencil over the card front and inked it in Versamark ink. I then sprinkled on more of the Ranger tinsel gold embossing powder and heat set it.

My panel is adhered to my card base with dimensional foam tape and I layered a white scalloped edged cardstock strip and some teal ribbon behind it. I also die cut a heart from the Simon Says Stamp “Heart Parade” die and covered it with two coats of Wink of Stella gold glitter before adhering it a top of my ribbon knot.

Finally, I took a white gel pen and added some faux stitching around the edges of the card base and the watercolor paper panel.

I’ve also created this cupcake card for the Cupcake Inspiration’s 300th Celebration challenge, and have one more that I will be sharing as well, so be sure to stop back again!
