Glitter Stenciling 2 Ways + Simon’s And Back Again Blog Hop
Glitter stenciling is one of my absolute favorite ways to stencil! I’ve showcased glittered stenciling in many different styles and projects, and today I’m going to share two of those ideas. In this video, I’m using new products from the Simon Says Stamp And Back Again release! I am also participating in a blog hop (more details on that are at the bottom of my post).
I designed a new stencil for the And Back Again release called, Tumbling Outline Hearts. I used that stencil on this card along with Pawsitively Saturated Inks from Simon in the colors Taffy, Sweets, and Bubblegum. After ink blending those colors through the stencil, I then applied a layer of Brutus Monroe glitter paste on top prior to removing the stencil. This gave me a stunning, shimmery gradient that I layered behind a glitter-die cut sentiment. The greeting is from the new I Think I’ll Keep You die and I cut it from red and pink glitter cardstocks. To finish things off, I added another greeting underneath which is from the And Back Again sentiment strip set.
Next I created an edge-to-edge shaker card that features both a glitter stenciled and a masked rose heart inside. I started by ink blending through the Heart Masks stencil from Simon’s And Back Again release; before removing the mask, I attached the Peonies and Leaves stencil on top and added a bit more ink blending through both stencils. This created a tone-on-tone design that kept the rose stenciling inside the heart underneath. Finally, I applied a bit of Simon Says Stamp Glitz Gel through the two stencils with a blending tool to give a subtle glitter texture on the flowers. This process is much more clearer if you watch the video.
I filled the shaker with Frosty Morning sequins, Clear Droplets, and Silver Heart Confetti. My sentiment is from the new XL Love Greetings set, which I embossed in white on black cardstock. A decorative holographic silver trim was made with the A2 Frames die set and my card base was created from Peacock cardstock.

What pretty cards! Thanks for sharing how they were made.
Amazing Inspiration projects! TFS
Nina yiu never cease to amaze me. You are so talented!
Lovely cards! I have not used glitter gels in my card making. I’m trying to get my nerve up! How long does it take for the glitter to dry? I’m sure it is necessary to clean off those stencils and tools as soon as possible after using. Love the stencil you created for SSS!
beautiful shaker card!
just love that blue heart shaker card!
These are so gorgeous, the sentiment on the first card made me giggle! :-)
