Mini Slimline Card + Treat Bags with Simon’s Easter Kit!

I’m always excited to make some cute treat bags or containers, so when I got the new Limited Edition Easter Kit from Simon Says Stamp, I immediately knew what I wanted to make with it! Using the little bags and almost all of the contents in the kit, I create a series of Easter candy bags, plus a mini slimline card!

The white bags with the chicks feature the new Little Chick die! Some of the chicks are cut from just colored cardstocks; others feature a yellow pom pom that’s included in the kit as part of the body on the chick. These fuzzy balls make the chicks look so adorable! I embossed the bags with the Intertwined embossing folder from Tim Holtz. Behind my chicks are hearts that I cut with Simon’s Nested Hearts set and the Hippity Hoppity pattern paper.

The kraft bags are also embossed with the Intertwined folder and I decorated them with images from the You Make Me Hoppy stamp set. I added greetings from the Reverse Easter Wishes sentiment strip set. I created grass for my bags with the pattern paper and a grassy edge from Simon’s Box Card Borders set.

Finally I made a mini slimline card and matching envelope! My colorful background on the card uses the super-cute Egg Hunt stencil and I ink blended it with the Spring Flowers ink cubes and blending brush that are in the kit. I added a pair of greetings with Simon’s Hello die and Reverse Easter Wishes sentiment strip. A cute bunny from the You Make Me Hoppy stamp set looks darling on the other side of my sentiments.
