Loose Watercolor with Simon’s Believe in You Collection

Hello friends! I am sharing some fresh inspiration with you today using the new Believe in You collection from Simon Says Stamp.

The Cosmos Bloom background is a gorgeous stamp, and I couldn’t wait to watercolor it with my Daniel Smith and Prima paints. I haven’t done any loose watercoloring in a while, so I decided to do just that on this card. I started by stamping the Cosmos Blooms with black ink, then colored all the florals in. After the watercolor dried, I splattered silver Finetec watercolor across the background.

On the edges of the background, I applied embossing ink and silver embossing powder; the silver creates a trendy edging that looks gorgeous, especially when paired with the silver embossed greeting that also has the same edging. For the sentiment, I used the Simon Says Stamp Greetings Mix 1 set.

This card has such a bold design, I kept it simple and mounted the floral background onto a Soft Navy card base and added a few Lilac Blooms sequins here and there around the florals.
