Hello friends, welcome to my stop in the Simon Says Stamp Rest and Refresh release hop! Today I’m using some of the new dies in the release to do some foiling, which I’ve embellished with some coloring and sequins!
Want to learn how to foil with dies and create these cards yourself? Watch the video and keep on reading!
These cards each feature the Filigree Wreath and Filigree Flower dies, both new to Simon Says Stamp! I love how elegant they look, especially when you foil them with a hot foil machine! For my foiling, I used the Gemini Foilpress, but you could also use foiling machines from Spellbinders or Couture Creations instead.
Since I was foiling dies, the foil applies only to the “cut lines” of the die design. Because of that, I’m left with an outline of what normally would have been cut, which is perfect for coloring in! I used Copic markers to add some pretty color to the outlines of the Filigree Wreath and Flower.
The simplicity of the design really shows off the stunning foiled outlines and the rainbow of color across these cards! I hope this gives you some ideas for how to use these new Filigree Wreath and Flower dies from Simon Says Stamp!
Simon is super awesome and is giving away a FREE Simon ink pad in the color Coral Reef (one of my favorites)! Make any purchase and you can get your own ink pad with code CRL898, while supplies last.
Also! For the hop, Simon is also giving away a $25 gift card to EVERY stop in this blog hop! Leave a comment at each stop to increase your chances of winning.
