Hello everyone! I am so excited to be participating in Heffy Doodle’s 1st Birthday celebration blog hop! Today I have some inspiration using their whimsical new, Wingman stamp set and Unbeleafable stencil.
If you have already been hopping along in the Heffy Doodle 1st Birthday Blog Hop, you should have arrived here from my talented friend, Crystal Thompson’s blog. I have all the hop details, including the next stop, at the end of this post.
I love how playful and fun these birds are! I used Copic markers to color the birds; R17, R29, Y18, Y38, YG01, YG23, B04, T6, T8 for the red parrot, YG01, YG06, YG23, Y18, Y38 for the green macaw. The stand that the green macaw is sitting on was colored with YR27 and E57.
And the giant “happy b-day” greeing? This is from the new, Big Bold Words stamp set. Check out how well it fills the card! I stamped it ink Lucky ink from Simon Says Stamp. The Unbeleafable stenciling was done with Twisted Citron Oxide ink.
I wanted to add some fun embellishment to these cards, and my friend, Jenn Shurkus got me hooked on the fun of “working” the Lawn Fawn glitter! I’m using the Prisma glitter for the wings of the birds; isn’t the shine amazing???
I hope you will be tuning in to the video at the top of this post to see how this fun, birthday card came together! If you are interested in hopping along for Heffy Doodle’s 1st Birthday celebration, keep on reading for all the details!
Thanks for tuning in with me today everyone! Be sure to stop back again tomorrow for some inspiration using Simon Says Stamp’s July Card Kit reveal!
