Distress Oxide Inks on Dark Cardstock + Simon’s STAMPtember Release
Happy Saturday crafters! I am back to share some new inspiration with you featuring the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release!
If you missed it, yesterday was Day 1 of the Simon STAMPtember release blog hop; and today is Day 2 (yes, a two-day hop)! Make sure you visit the Simon blog for all the details of the hop and enter the giveaway! I have shared a bunch of inspiration pieces already using the new release. If you missed any of them, you can click on the images below to jump over to those projects:
For my card today, I wanted to use the new Under the Sea stamp set; have you seen this set? I love the intricate details on these images! I thought they would be fun to stamp onto dark colored cardstock with Oxide inks. The Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers Oxide inks make the images pop off that navy cardstock! I also incorporated some stamped images from Simon’s Henna Patterns stamp set.
I used a new “thanks” word die from CZ Design and Simon to die cut a sentiment, and I also added a supporting sentiment from the You Got This stamp set. The card is embellished with some Ice Cube jewels from Lucy’s Cards and a bit of Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter.
Another new product from Simon’s STAMPtember release are their straight-edge, self-sealing envelopes in beautiful sets! There are five sets to choose from that have multiple envelope colors that coordinate with each other – and with Simon’s cardstocks!
I used one of the teal envelopes from Set 3 and stamped some of the images from Under the Sea onto it using Scuba ink. You’ll also notice those gray addressing lines and the “please deliver to” greeting. Those are from a previously released set called Sending Flowers. The set is perfect for decorating envelopes with!
