What To Do with Scraps + Simon’s Encouraging Words Release

What To Do with Scraps + In Lay Die Cut Background | Nina-Marie Design

Hi everyone! Simon Says Stamp’s newest product collection, Encouraging Words is here; woohoo! Today I have a video to share with you featuring these products, along with some inspiration for using up some of those scraps I am sure we all have lying around in our craft rooms…

If you are like me, you keep all the scraps leftover from making a card and set them aside with best intentions of using them on another card… but somehow or another, that pile seems to only grow, not shrink! Well I thought it would be fun to challenge myself and see what I could create using ONLY scraps (minus the card base of course).

I used the Kindness Matters die and cut this into scraps of Doll Pink, Banana Yellow, Green Apple and Orange Peel cardstocks (all from Sim0n). This card uses the in lay die cutting technique, so it does take a bit of time to put the pieces back into place. But the effect is totally worth it!

Be sure to check out the video below to see this card come together! I hope you enjoy and get inspired to try making a card using only scraps… I really enjoyed the process and had a great time just playing around with paper.

Thanks for visiting with me today! I’ll be back soon with a new tutorial for you (pst… there is a blog hop featuring the Simon Encouraging Words release on Saturday)!

Hi Nina ~ Love all that you’ve done with this card and appreciate that you included a video. “Kindness Matters” has been my mantra for a very long time and I love that there’s now a die that I can use for that. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! ~HUGS~
