Combining Distress Inks and Watercolors with Ellen Hutson
Hi there! I am back again to let you know that I am up over on the Pretty Pink Posh and Ellen Hutson blogs today with a technique video tutorial on combining distress inks and watercolors to create fun backgrounds!
The post is for Ellen Hutson’s Mix It Up challenge, a where they invite a different manufacturer each month to contribute a design that combines Essentials by Ellen stamps/dies with their products to inspire their followers! Here’s a sneak peek…
And did I mention there is a prize involved too? YOU can make a project inspired by the design that I’ve created and link it up to the Ellen Hutson blog for a chance to win $50 to the Ellen Hutson online store!
So be sure to head on over to the Pretty Pink Posh and Ellen Hutson blogs to check out the video I put together showing how to create this card!
And before I go, I also wanted to mention that I am also sharing a card for Reverse Confetti featuring a fun way to enhance your stamp layering! Here’s a sneak peek at the card; you can check out the post here.
Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me… I’ll see you again on Saturday with more card inspiration!

I love, love, love the colors on both cards! I am someone who is very colorful. If you saw me today you would have seen that I had on leggings that had a photo of the inside of a kaleidoscope on them that my sister took and a bright yellow shirt. I was as colorful as your cards! They are so beautiful! Anyone would appreciate receiving them! I don’t have any Distress Ink so I can’t do your process but I do have watercolors. I’ll have to watch your video and see what you did. Maybe I can copy some of it.
What beautiful cards!!
Oh my goodness Nina, both cards are just beautiful.
Beautiful and colorful…love them both.
