Pretty Pink Posh October Release Blog Hop

Hello Everyone! So glad you are here, as we are kicking off a fun blog hop over at Pretty Pink Posh, featuring the brand new dies and sequins for October! I have three cards to share with you, so let’s get started! :)

 

 

 

My first project features the adorable little Mini Tags die set… so many super cute, tiny tags that are not only perfect for labeling all your Christmas gifts with, but also for making last minute gift tags too!

 

 

I created a little set of tags using the dies and stamped each one with images from Newton’s Nook holiday stamp sets (Holiday Wishes, Newton’s Holiday Mischief, Newton’s Christmas Cuddles).

 

 

I used Copic markers to color the images and applied Wink of Stella glitter and Glossy Accents overtop of each image. The background of the tags are created with Pumice Stone and Dried Marigold distress inks and some red and white baker’s twine finished everything off.

Next up, is another fabulous tag die set called Decorative Tags 1. I love the fun shape of this die and the scallop oval that can fit inside is a great shape to use on other projects as well for windows and such.

 

 

I created this poinsettia tag using the Doodle Bloom stamp set from Altenew; the cute, whimsical flowers are a perfect compliment to this tag shape.

The images are colored with Copic markers and I fussy cut and layered them all together to create a cluster.  Behind the cluster I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loop from glitter cardstock. Some Royal Gardens sequins (6mm and 4mm)  add Gold sequins (6mm and 4mm) add a nice bit of sparkle to the tag.

 

 

And finally, I have this watercolored sympathy card I created using the Storybook 2 die set. I used stamps from the WPlus9 Pretty Peonies set, stamped in second generations of Abandon Coral and Worn Lipstick distress inks.  I then watercolored everything in using distress inks.

 

 

I then die cut the Storybook 2 die into the watercolored panel and popped each square/rectangle up with craft foam. My panel is layered onto a black card base, and I used a die from the Winnie and Walter the Big, the Bold and Comfort set to make a gold foil sentiment.

To finish everything off, I used some Wink of Stella glitter and both medium and small clear droplets to add some shine to my card.
