Happy Sunday!

May and June are fast approaching, and graduations will soon begin once again, so today I have a one layer graduation card to share with you…

On my kraft card base, I started off by stamping out the word “grad” in Versamark ink, using the Simon Says Stamp “Sketched Alphabet” stamp set. I spinkled on black embossing power and heat set it. Then, taking a little “deliver to” stamp from the “Sending Happy Thoughts” set (also by Simon Says Stamp), I heat embossed this as well using white embossing powder.

I then laid the Memory Box “Starry Nights” stencil over my card and applied Delicata Golden Glitz ink overtop before running the stencil and my card through my Big Shot to emboss it. Unfortunately the stencil shifted just a smidgen while embossing it, so the stars are a little misaligned at the bottom…  :(

Next, I added some Wink of Stella gold glitter and some white details to some of my stars and to the background.

With my scoring board, I scored a frame around the card, and inked it with black ink. I took my white gel pen and added a shadow to both the frame and the word “grad”.

And this finishes off the card! A very quick and easy one layer card, full of shimmer and shine! I hope you’ve enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by today!

I’ve enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp “Things That Fly” Wednesday challenge… while stars aren’t a critter, they do fly across the night sky, so I thought this would fit! :)

This card is also submitted into the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge #14, and the Kraft Journal challenge #214 “Take Your Pick”.
