Neat & Tangled Reveal Day #4

Well hello! THanks so much for stopping by and joining me in today’s reveal of the super cute Purrfect stamp set (and coordinating dies), as well as the fun Punchinella die set, all from Neat & Tangled’s March release!

Masculine cards are always something many crafters are looking for inspiration for, which is why I’ve chosen to use this set to create a love-themed card, perfect for giving to the special guy, boyfriend or husband in your life.

When creating a masculine card, one good tip to keep in mind is clean and simple. Clean and simple doesn’t necessarily have to mean minimal layers, lots of white space, etc.; you can add whatever you want to your masculine cards! But by clean and simple, I’m referring to “extra frills” like ribbons, sparkle and glitter.

I stamped my cats onto white cardstock and colored them in with Copics; for those of you interested in the color combinations, the colors are listed below and linked down in the products section at the bottom of the post:

• brown cat: E50, E30, E31, E23, E17, E18, R21
• gray cat: C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, R21
• hearts: R21, RV42

Once my coloring was finished, I used the coordinating dies to go ahead and die cut my little cats. I also die cut the hearts as well.

The Punchinella die is another awesome product that is part of the March Neat & Tangled release, and I used it to create a layered background for my cats. I cut the die with some green cardstock and adhered it onto a piece of vellum that I inked with Stormy Sky distress ink and a Hero Arts Tweed stencil.

To finish my card, I stamped a sentiment from the Purrfect stamp set onto black cardstock and cut it down to a small strip that fit across my card front. I also tied a gray and white piece of baker’s twine around the front of the card as well.
