Mini Note with Pretty Pink Posh

Hello! Today I am back to share a sweet little greeting that showcases the Birdie Notes stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh, which is a free gift on eligible purchases!

If you love birds, you’ll really like this cute mini stamp set called Birdie Notes. I used many of the images in the set, along with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and dies to make a smaller sized card. This card is 3 1/2″ by 4 1/4″ (folded) and is perfect for sending along sweet sentiments to that “someone special”!

I started off by watercoloring a couple of backgrounds; a pink one for the sky and a green one for the grass. I used a sponge brush to paint all the backgrounds (one of my current favorite tools right now), and used Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry for the sky, while Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn were used for the grass. Once everything was dry I die cut both backgrounds from a stitched rectangle die and a grassy hill die.

When I was putting my little scene together, I thought including a fence would be a great little addition, so I used the Pretty Pink Posh Picket Fence die set and cut it from wood paper. The paper is cherry wood from some wood envelopes I had (linked below), and adds a realistic touch to the scene!

For the sentiment I used the greeting that goes in the Birdie Notes set and heat embossed it onto a die cut heart that is from brand new Darling Hearts die set from Newton’s Nook.

For the bird and envelope I stamped the images onto cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I used the following colors for the images (images were cut out with fine tip scissors):

• bird: Y000, Y00, Y02, Y08, Y21, YR04, YR15, E35, RV0000, RV00, R81,

• envelope: C1, C3

• fence shading: E31, E35

• grass shading:  YG21, YG23, YG25

To finish everything up I added a little twine bow to the top of the card and glued on some Sparkling Clear sequins (my all time favorite!).
