No-Line Copic Coloring – Poinsettia Cluster

Hello everyone! So glad you’ve stopped by today, as I have a no-line, Copic colored poinsettia card to share with you featuring some new Winnie and Walter stamps!

The stamps I am using today are In Bloom: Elsa’s Flora, which is from the latest Winnie and Walter release. I just adore the outline images of all their flower stamp sets; they are perfect for coloring in, and also for no-line coloring as I have done in this card today.

I started my card by stamping my images in light colored inks; I used Cotton Candy, Frayed Leaf and Caramel Toffee, which are all Altenew Crisp dye inks. As I stamped the images, I masked them off so that I could achieve depth to my cluster.

When stamping a scene like this, its best to do a bit of prep work beforehand and test out some variations on the layout so that you end up with a design you like. I tested out a few stamped designs on scratch paper before finally deciding on this one.

Next came the coloring… I love adding deep contrast and shadows to my coloring, but by no means do you have to feel that you cannot make this card if you are a more simple-coloring person. You can still achieve a similar look to what I have done by using a lot less colors. You can even stamp the images in black ink if you prefer to have the outlines.

I’ve got the color combinations I used for this card listed here if you are interested in replicating these colors:

Poinsettia: R17, R46, R59, R89, YR21, YR23
Berries: R85, V06, V09
Pinecones: E53, E33, E35, E18, E29
Evergreens:YG95, YG97, G94, G99
Shading: W5, W7, W9

Finally, I needed to finish off the card by adding a few finishing touches. I wanted to keep it simple though, so I just gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Neat & Tangled Little Angel stamp set, and scored a double frame around the entire card using a scoring board.

This is such a beautiful card. I love the depth of color, you feel you could pick the flower off the page. I may have to get this stamp set.
