Newton’s Nook Reveal Day #3 – Newton’s Antics Die Set

Hello Everyone! Today is day three of the Newton’s Nook August release and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by to see the card I’ve created using the brand new Newton’s Antics die set!

 

Today’s release features two die sets; Newton’s Antics and Tranquil Tides. I wanted to do something unique with my die set, and I’ve created this cute die cut heart using the small heart die included in the Newton’s Antics set.

 

 

To create my die cut heart, I traced a heart shape onto my cardstock panel and ran my die through my Big Shot machine over and over, adjusting the position of the die with each pass of the machine until I had filled in the traced heart shape.

This adorable little raccoon is from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set, and I’ve colored him with Copic markers. I stamped and colored the background scene for the raccoon, also using the Sweetheart Tails set.

 

 

Before adhering my card together, I added some vellum to the backside of my die cut panel, to soften the pink card base and give everything a more softer feel. And because I cannot get enough sparkle, I added  some Wink of Stella clear glitter onto some of the smaller images on the card.
