Create an Ornament from Die Cuts and Stencils! + Blog Hop
Do you like making Christmas ornaments? It’s one of my most favorite traditions. My mom started it when my siblings and I were kids—every year she’d come up with some idea for a creative ornament and we’d make and gift them to our family and friends. I’ve carried that tradition with me and as an addicted crafter, I make something new as an ornament every holiday season!
This ornament project is made with the new Angel Wings stencils and coordinating dies. Having the dies makes it possible to make dimensional cards, tags… or ornaments like this! These are new products from Simon Says Stamp’s And Everything Nice collection!

The best part about making ornaments is the embellishing! I added special details to this piece by using Silver metallic ink and new Silver Sparkle Paste for some of the wing layers. There are pretty sequins scattered across the wings for a twinkle effect. And even down to the silver cording as the ornament string adds to the finished effect!

This is GENIUS! Beautiful wings!
The Angel Wings are beautiful. Love the color used
Ok this is AWESOME!!!
That is stunning! I may have to go back for another shopping trip so I can create this for my tree! TFS!
The colors are a beautiful combination. The other color that kept coming to mind as you worked was pink…and maybe a gold highlight. It might also be cool to leave the edges of the die layers unattached and then bend them so they look feathered and add to the dimension.
The dimension on the wings is just beyond belief!!!
Love these angel wings, as well as many of the other items in this collection,’
