Distress Watercolor Stamping for Floral Christmas Tags! Plus Tim Holtz and Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® SURPRISE!
If you love learning Distress techniques, you’re going to be excited about the NEW Technique Workshop that Simon Says Stamp and Tim Holtz have put together for STAMPtember®! Tim will be using new products from Simon Says Stamp that are PERFECT for creating watercolored effects with your stamps. There is a kit available for the class, and some of the products are available for individual purchase for a limited time.
I’ll be using stamp and dies from the kit to make a series of watercolor stamped tags. I used Distress Inks for the stamping, which give an amazing, layered look to my stamping!
The stamps and dies I used were Festive Watercolor, Festive Sentiments, and Festive Tags. There is also a sentiment die set called Festive Words, which I used to make a home decor piece (scroll to the end of the post to see this project).
These tags are super-layered, feature lots of sparkle using Distress Rock Candy glitter and Gold Glass Glitter. I even added a little Snowfall Grit Paste through a Sparkle stencil onto my tags for additional texture.
I also created a home decor art piece using the Festive products—it was fun to pull together all of these floral bits and layer them up onto a frame. This will look so pretty displayed for the holiday season!
