Coloring Die Cuts and Building a Birdhouse Scene + Simon’s Friend Like You Blog Hop
There are SO MANY cute new dies in the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You release! Some of my favorites include the Tilted Daisies and Cozy Birdhouse—both of which I am using on this project that could either be a framed art piece, or you could easily turn this into a card!
I found this frame at a local shop—the soft creamy color worked perfectly as a pairing with the colors that I used in this piece. There are THREE brand new Pawsitively Saturated Ink colors that are in the Friend Like You release—Jade, Eucalyptus, and Juniper. Such a pretty trio of green!
Behind the birdhouse I colored a background with more ink and the new Landscapes stencil—the mix of yellow and blue adds some interest to the background and in the video I will show you how I created that soft effect!
I love creating home decor pieces, so this project was a joy to make! But if you prefer to create cards, you can totally turn this piece into a card instead! Imagine sending this to someone for a birthday or just because?
