Distress Crayons + Inks + Stencils! 2 Ways to Use Simon’s April 2025 Card Kit!
There is something magical about being able to take a variety of mediums and just PLAY. When I received the Simon Says Stamp April 2025 Card Kit, I was inspired by the warm spring colors and Tim Holtz Collage Papers; I pulled out some Distress Crayons and Oxide inks and had so much fun mixing these mediums together onto a background.
That gave me this lovely inky background that was a perfect backdrop to the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set. I gold heat embossed one of the floral groupings onto vellum, which created a dreamy effect. Pretty gold details such as some splattering and Dazzling Gems really accentuated the feel.
My second card is a bit simpler, but is not at all lacking in the color! This time I used the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set with the coordinating stencils to color in the floral grouping. The stencils make coloring so easy and FUN!
I layered my flowers onto a Paper Rose patterned paper sheet that was included in the kit and embellished everything with some Cloud 9 Nuvo Dream Drops.
Two very similar cards as far as colors go, but the methods in which I created them could not have been any more different! Goes to show you how creative you can get with a selection of products. I hope it was inspiring to you and gives some ideas on how you can use the kit contents to create some projects of your own!
