New Lost Shadow Distress Color: 5 Cards, 2 Techniques!
The newest Distress color has been revealed and it is a good one! Lost Shadow is the PERFECT gray in my opinion and it works so well with other colors in the Distress collection. I created 5 cards with 2 different techniques, all using the new Lost Shadow color!
This card features a background made with Distress paint on Simon Says Stamp White Glossy Cardstock. I added a silver die cut made with the Pointed Evergreens set, added a thinking of you greeting, and embellished the background with Fairy Jewels and clear droplets.
The Distress paint background on White Glossy Cardstock looks so dramatic behind this bright Etched Daisy! I ink blended the daisy, as well as Rose Leaves and Fiddly Leaf die cuts with Distress Oxide inks. A silver Fancy Birthday greeting at the top of the card balanced out the design.
The bold and dramatic effect of this card was made possible by using coral colors of Distress paint, paired against teals and Lost Shadow. I did the same technique of applying the paint onto White Glossy Cardstock. I added some Fallen Snow glitter paste through a Floating Leaves stencil on top of the background. The Love You So Much greeting was die cut from Simon’s Mirror Ball cardstock (so luxurious!).
My second technique features Distress Oxide ink smooshing. I LOVE to ink smoosh! I even got two cards out of one background by using the leftovers!
I used Simon Says Stamp’s Chunky Hearts die to make the heart design and then added a Love You greeting from a CZ Design die set. A single blue glitter cardstock heart on each card is the standout embellishment for these two cards!
