Distress Oxide Ink Rub + Tim Holtz’s New Distress Color Uncharted Mariner!

I want to give a shout out to Simon Says Stamp for sending me the new color ahead of the release so I could share this video with you!

It’s always an exciting day when Tim Holtz unveils a new color to add to the Distress ink family! Uncharted Mariner has just been released and OH MY GOSH is it pretty! I love blues and teals, so I might be biased but I truly feel that this color is going to be a staple for so many color combos. I’m sharing 3 different cards using a technique that I call Distress Oxide ink rub.

To do this technique all you need are ink pads (I personally like the way Oxides work with this, but you could use a different ink), and an embossing folder. Any embossing folder can be used; for my cards I am using Simon Says Stamp’s new Alstroemeria folder.
