Wondrous Birthday

Hello Everyone!

Today I have a fun birthday card to share that uses only one stamp set! For today’s card, I used the Simon Says Stamp “Celebrate” stamp set and this color scheme from the Stampin’ Royalty “Picture Inspiration” Challenge.

Starting out, I stamped all three circle balloons in various places around the card using Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade and Sunflower Yellow inks. Once the balloons were stamped, I took a black multiliner and sketched an outline around each balloon and added strings coming down from each one.

Next, taking a polka dot stencil, and the same three ink colors, I placed dots in a bokeh pattern around the background of the card. I really love how neat the bokeh effect looks in a card… and for a birthday card, it adds to the “party” feel perfectly!

Finally, I printed the digi stamp sentiment onto my card in black, and added shadows to the letters with a white gel pen. I also added some Wink of Stella clear glitter to all the balloons for a bit of shine.

I love how modern and graphic this card turned out! Its bright and cheery and perfect for a guy too!
