Creating a Mini Card + So Pun Inspiration

Hello, creative friends! I am excited to be back with more inspiration using the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® limited edition card kit. This kit features lots of  adorable, So Pun collection products from Doodlebug and some mini envelopes. Those items inspire me to make this cute card and coordinating envelope!

Simon released the So Pun Friends stamp set at the same time that they released their playful, STAMPtember® kit; they even brought out a cool French Fry die too! I thought it would be really fun to mix the So Pun Friends stamps with items from the kit.

The So Pun Friends are stamped onto Canson Bristol paper with Intense Black ink from Simon; I then colored the images with Copics.

After cutting the images out, I attached them to a card base that I made with white cardstock, So Pun patterned paper and the Scalloped die set from Neat & Tangled. You can see exactly how I did this by watching the video above.

For the sentiment, I embossed a greeting from the So Pun Friends set onto Island Blue cardstock and trimmed it out with Simon’s Sentiment Labels die set. I also embellished the card with some of Doodlebug’s Tiny Hearts and Rainbow Hearts sprinkle stickers.

To finish things up, I even created a  So Pun patterned paper liner for the White Mini Envelope (also part of the STAMPtember® kit). The process I took for creating the envelope liner was very simple and you can see how I did that by watching the video at the top of this post.

Remember that Simon’s STAMPtember® kit is limited in quantity and only available while supplies last. If you miss out on the kit, you can purchase most of the items on an individual basis.

I hope that this mini card idea has inspired you to create with the kit or the So Pun Doodlebug collection! The size of these notes is about the size of a gift card… I think it would be fun to use this particular card as the “wrapping” for a gift card to someone’s favorite restaurant!
