Hello, everyone! I am so glad you have stopped by today, as I am sharing a couple of cards I made with the brand new, Sending Sunshine release from Simon Says Stamp! There are lots of cheerful stamp, stencils and dies in the collection, a few of which I designed!

First up is the Hey There Sunshine stamp set, which features a happy assortment of balloons in some cute, playful shapes; such as a sun, rainbow, raincloud and heart! I also illustrated a pair of critters; a cat and a dog. These cuties could hold the balloons and be used either together or on their own. Some of the greetings in the set you may recognize from songs (“here comes the sun, little darling, and I say, it’s alright”); all of these uplifting greetings can be mixed and matched to make custom sentiments (which I love doing)! I hope you love using this set!

Plus, there are coordinating dies to go with this stamp set too. They’ll help make creating cute scenes so much easier!

Next are two new 6×6 cling stamps! I love using background stamps for creating simple texture or as the main focal point of a design. The first background I have to share is Deco Diamonds. This playful, slightly imperfect pattern was heavily inspired by Art Deco designs, with a bit of whimsy.

The other cling stamp I designed is Bohemian Lace. When I drew this stamp, I had jump-started the idea based off of a bohemian plate design that, Heidi from Simon Says Stamp loved. This stamp has a very delicate look to it once it is stamped out.

Finally, I have a new stencil design! This one is called Leafy Frame; and as the name suggests, it is full of tropical leaves. This stencil has so many ways this stencil can be used; it also pairs up really well with the monkey from Simon’s also-brand-new stamp set that Shari Carroll designed called, Hello There!

Now, how about some inspiratin using some of the other new, Sending Sunshine release products? If you watch the video at the top of this post, you’ll be able to see how I made this card, which features the Summertime and Flower Cluster dies, plus the Four Seasons greetings stamp set!

The background was really fun to make, with the help of the Jane Davenport Mermaid Texture brushes. I layered a bunch of Flower Cluster die cuts together for a dimensional effect; the top layer of die cuts are colored with Copics. In the video I will show you how I did each of these techniques!

I ink blended the die cut with Oxide inks (colors linked below), then popped it onto a panel of Tonic Studios’ Sugar Crystal glitter cardstock. I love how it catches the light between the die cut Marilyn panel!

The sentiment is another Simon die (previously released) called Big Thanks. I cut it from Tonic Studios’ Welsh Gold glitter cardstock (the outline was made with some simple white cardstock). The Playful Messages sentiments are so much fun, and I white heat embossed one onto black cardstock.

Finally, I finished up the card using some heart dies from both the Shining Heart and Sprinkle Heart sets. The simplicity of the design lets the detail of the background shine bright! It’s also easy to recreate or make into sets. Imagine all the different color combinations you could achieve with this card layout!
