Hello everyone! Have you heard about Altenew’s Celebrating Parents Card Drive that they have been hosting over the past month? Altenew’s goal is to collect and send cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes or shelters to let them know they’re not forgotten. For my project today, I made a Father’s Day card using the Altenew Flat and Fold Alphas die set, along with stamps from their Best Dad and Snapshot sets. My idea was to pair these sets with Distress Oxide inks and Prima Pastel Metallic Accents for a metallic watercolor effect. If you watch the video at the top of this post, you’ll see how I created this fun, shiny effect!

I added details to the card with some black ink splatters and a Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplet over part of the camera. You’ll also notice I used a Fog gray cardstock card base behind my finished panel, as that gray complements the shading in the camera and makes the white areas really pop!
