Hello everyone! Have you seen the new Simon Says Stamp Making Spirits Bright release for October? It’s a beauty! I have a card to share with you that features some of these new products, including the Pine Needle Border and Holly Fanfare dies, plus the Stained Glass Greetings stamp set.

In this card, I used Tonic Studios’ new Mirror Card, which is a heavyweight, foil-finish cardstock. The coolest thing about this paper is that it gives you the look of foiling without the need for a laminator, toner sheets, etc.

The Mirror Card collection from Tonic comes in three different finishes; Satin, Pearlescent and High-Gloss. For the Holly Fanfare berries I used the Scarlet Organza Satin cardstock and then cut the Pine Needles Border from Emerald Green High-Gloss cardstock. This is a great side-by-side comparison of these two finishes; you can see that the High-Gloss card resembles traditional foiling, while the Satin has a much-more matte finish.

Patterned papers from Echo Park’s Deck the Halls collection really paired nicely with the Mirror Card. And the “peace” sentiment from the Stained Glass Greetings stamp set is gold heat embossed onto some DCWV Shimmer Neutrals mat stack paper. There is a lot of shine on this card!
