Hello friends! As promised, I am back sharing the card I posted a sneak peek of on Thursday, showcasing some of the newest stamps and dies from Simon’s Hey Love release!

The gorgeous Hearts Alive die is so intricate and beautiful… it was one of the dies that immediately caught my eye in the release! I thought this would be perfect to use the in lay die cutting technique with, but I wanted to add a bit of a twist.

I decided to create a window onto the front of my card and recess the colored, in-laid die cut pieces from the window. The result gives the die cut a dimensional, classy appearance, which I am really loving! In the video below, I will walk you through how I did this. And because I used multiple colors for the in lay technique, I had extras left over… so I created a total of THREE cards to make a cute set!

A couple other new products I used from the release were the Kristina’s Love stamp set and the Hey Love die. I adore the Kristina’s Love stamp set because it can be used to make so many different, custom sentiments for your cards.

I’m also loving how the words from the Hey Love (and many of the other similar-styled word dies like this one) are separated from each other. This makes it easy to mix and match the words with each other, or other things, to make custom greetings. I did just that on these cards by using just the word “love” from Hey Love and matched it up with a sentiment from the Kristina’s Love stamp set.

To see how these cards came together, I hope you will check out the video below! Thanks so much for visiting with me today… check back again on Sunday for a special video I’ve done for an annual holiday event one of my friends hosts each year (there are giveaways too!)!
