Embossing Folder Blackout Technique with COLOR!
The blackout technique for embossing folders is a favorite of mine—but I thought it would be fun to put a twist on it and use multiple ink colors to create the popular effect! These two cards feature brand new embossing folders (and more) from Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember® release!
Today is also the STAMPtember® release PARTY! There are many of us participating with LOADS of inspiration being shared—check out the bottom of this post for the full details!
My floral card uses the new Stitched Flowers embossing folder—I used the ink cubes to create a patchwork effect, which I enhanced with buttons! The sentiment is from the Big Scripty Greetings stamp and die set, with the sub-sentiment being cut from the EZ Strips Birthday sentiment strips.
The cool swirl from the Dotted Spiral embossing folder looks amazing when you follow the pattern with your ink cubes. I paired this up with the You Are Magic die and embellished the card with some stars and sequins.
